After the 2nd world war Opel started with the production of small motorcycles for the

daily use. One of the “motorbikes” was an add-on-engine-bicycle with 140 cc and 1,1 hp

named “Motorfahrrad”. This bike came as  men and lady version into the market.

The engine were fixed and mounted on the rear left side beside the rearwheel.

That construction prevented the driver  from oilspray and the smoke from the exhaust.

After the economy crises in 1924, Opel built the next evolution step of this bike with 148 cc,

2 h.p and a two speed rear hub system. This bike was good for a speed of 60 km/h.

This offered Bike is a real survivor and it is hard to find a second one like this.

It is 100% original, unmolested and comes from the second owner. Around 30 years ago

the bike was found in an attic during a budget resolution in Klagenfurt / Austria.
